Flood Warning
Issued by the National Weather Service at 8:57 am CST on March 12, 2010
The Flood Warning continues for
the Black Warrior river at Selden lock and dam.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8 am Friday the stage was 94.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 90 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 97.8 feet by
Saturday morning and then begin falling. The river will remain
above flood stage at Selden dam the next several days.
* Impact... at 98 feet... some Cabins and trailers along the river
begin to flood.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Tombigbee river at Demopolis lock and dam.
* From this afternoon until further notice... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 7:30 am Friday the stage was 66.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 68.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by this afternoon and continue to
rise to near 73.1 feet by Sunday evening. The river will fall slowly
after that time but remain above flood stage the next few days.
* Impact... at 73 feet... some Cabins... trailers and secondary roads
begin to flood along the river.
