... Flood Warning extended until further notice... the Flood Warning continues for
the Alabama River near Millers Ferry dam
* from tomorrow late morning until further notice
* at 8am Thursday the stage was 52.9 feet
* no flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast
* flood stage is 66.0 feet
* forecast to rise above flood stage by tomorrow late morning and continue to
rise to near 74.5 feet by Sunday evening.

... Flood Warning extended until late Saturday night...
the Flood Warning continues for
the Alabama River at Montgomery.
* Until late Saturday night... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8 am Thursday the stage was 34.7 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 35 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage this morning and continue
to rise to near 39.6 feet by Friday morning. The river will fall
below flood stage by Saturday afternoon.
* Impact... at 35 feet... extensive overflow of lowlands in the area
occurs. Flooding of The Golf Course at Maxwell Air Force Base
and portions of River Road occurs at stages of 30 feet.

... Flood Warning extended until Monday afternoon...
the Flood Warning continues for
the Cahaba river near Suttle.
* From Friday morning to Monday afternoon... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 9 am Thursday the stage was 20.4 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 32 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage Friday morning and continue to
rise to near 40.5 feet by Saturday evening. The river will fall
below flood stage by early Monday morning.
* Impact... at 43 feet... some flooding of homes begins. Highway 14 also
becomes flooded when the river rises to 43 feet. At 32 feet...
flooding of pasturelands occurs in the Suttle area. Livestock need
to be moved to higher ground if the river rises to 33 feet or higher.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Cahaba river at Centreville.
* Until Saturday morning... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 9 am Thursday the stage was 29.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 23 feet.
* Forecast... the river has crested and will continue to fall...
dropping below flood stage by Friday night.
* Impact... at 30.0 feet... considerable flooding of farms and
pasturelands in the area occurs... and cattle may need to be moved
to higher ground

The National Weather Service in Birmingham al has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Cahaba river at Marion Junction.
* From Saturday morning to late Sunday night... or until the warning
is cancelled.
* At 8 am Thursday the stage was 20.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 36 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by late Saturday morning and
continue to rise to near 37 feet by early Sunday morning. The
river will fall below flood stage by early Sunday afternoon.
* Impact... at 36 feet... flooding of farm and pasture lands in the
area occurs.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham al has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Alabama River at Selma.
* From late Friday night to Monday morning... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 8 am Thursday the stage was 32.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 45 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by early Saturday morning and
continue to rise to near 46 feet by Sunday morning. The river
will fall below flood stage by Sunday night.
* Impact... at 45 feet... extensive overflow of low lying land in the
area begins. Some low roads in the area begin to flood at this
stage.





905 am CST Thu Mar 11 2010

The National Weather Service in Birmingham al has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Alabama River at r.F. Henry lock and dam.
* From Friday evening to late Sunday night... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 7 am Thursday the stage was 107.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 122 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Friday evening and continue
to rise to near 124.3 feet by Saturday evening. The river will fall
below flood stage by Sunday afternoon.
* Impact... at 122 feet... flooding of agricultural lands begins.
