Flood Warning
Issued by the National Weather Service at 8:50 PM CST on March 13, 2010
The Flood Warning continues for
the Tombigbee river near LeRoy
* until further notice
* at 7 PM Saturday the stage was 24.8 feet
* minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast
* flood stage is 24 feet
* the river will continue rising to near 26.9 feet by Tuesday morning then begin
falling.
At 24 feet, flooding of low lying farm and pasturelands in the area will
occur. Cattle in low lying areas may need to be moved to higher ground.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Tombigbee river near Coffeeville dam
* until further notice
* at 8 PM Saturday the stage was 31.8 feet
* minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast
* flood stage is 29 feet
* the river will continue rising to near 34.3 feet by Tuesday morning then begin
falling.
819 PM CST Sat Mar 13 2010
The Flood Warning continues for
the Alabama River near Claiborne dam
* until further notice
* at 7 PM Saturday the stage was 43.8 feet
* minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast
* flood stage is 42 feet
* the river will continue rising to near 49.4 feet by Thursday evening.
Additional rises may be possible thereafter.
At 43 feet, flooding of agricultural lands will begin to gradually subside as
the river drops below 40 feet. However some overflow will continue until the
level drops below 27 feet.
